The Sun is Out And Iam Choosing to Slow Down.

After a long, cold, dark winter… the sun is finally shining.

The snow is melting, the air feels lighter. You can sense the shift — not just in the temperature, but in energy. There’s something about the first real stretch of spring that invites you to exhale.

And this morning, I’m choosing to slow down long enough to feel it.

Because the truth is, the world feels heavy right now, the uncertainty is constant. There’s always something demanding attention, reaction, or concern.

That’s why I’ve been returning to a simple daily practice of gratitude. Not forced positivity. But intentional acknowledgment.

-The warmth of the sun on my face.

-A quiet cup of coffee and a cigar before the

  house wakes up.

- My Family

- Hunting and Gardening Season

- The people I get to interact with every single day.

When life gets rough — personally or globally — gratitude becomes an anchor.

It doesn’t deny reality, or ignore hardship. It simply grounds you in what is still steady, still good, still within reach.

A daily gratitude practice doesn’t have to be elaborate. It can be three things written down before your phone lights up your mind. It can be a quiet reflection during a walk.

What I’ve found is this:

Gratitude shifts your posture, from clenched to open.

From reactive to intentional.

From overwhelmed to anchored.

The world may remain uncertain, But your internal foundation doesn’t have to. Spring reminds us that seasons change. Darkness doesn’t last forever. And even when the landscape looks frozen, something underneath is preparing to thaw.

Today, I’m grateful for that reminder.

What’s one thing you’re grateful for today?
